This $32M LA Dream Home Just Debuted with a Virtual Open House to Remember

In a time when many are staying at home, how is one meant to go and tour someone else’s? What happens to the open house in the midst of shelter-in-place? In the case of this high-end Los Angeles listing, where agents may typically transform the tour experience into a lavish cocktail hour, the question becomes all the more curious. Rest assured, agents are getting creative.

That creativity was proven when Compass collaborated with The Society Group to host a virtual tour for 25 select potential buyers of this brand new masterpiece in Hollywood Hills at 1471 Forest Knoll. Prior to the showing, guests received a package, the contents of which would supply all the luxury of a showing plus a few bonuses. According to Variety, each box held a miniature bottle of Moët & Chandon, cut samples of the home’s white oak and travertine flooring, and even a Tom Dixon candle, the scent of the home’s interiors. The agents also sent snacks in the form of artisanal meats, cheeses, and crackers.

Most poetically perhaps was the inclusion of a mini olive tree, representing the mature olive trees that dot the property’s gardens. Asking $32 million, the minimalist modern farmhouse spans 11,184-square-feet and counts six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. With unparalleled architecture and grounds, the spectacular spread could probably sell based on pictures alone, but this virtual experience created an even bigger wow-factor.

Developed by Viewpoint Collection, the property is listed exclusively by Sally Forster Jones, Tomer Fridman, and Tyrone McKillen of Compass.
