A Mediterranean-style estate in Beverly Hills, CA, on the market for $98 million is this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.

While the asking price is clearly high, Los Angeles offers a precedent for such ultraexpensive sales. Late last year, the Chartwell estate in Bel Air was sold for a record-breaking $150 million, surpassing the $120 million Spelling Manor as the most expensive sale ever in Los Angeles County.

This palatial Beverly Hills estate measures 9,024 square feet and offers everything from plentiful balconies to a fountain and an indoor pool.

Dubbed “a work of art” in the listing, the home includes professional reproductions of famous paintings. We spotted replicas of works by Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, among others.

The home’s design by architect Richard Landry features soaring ceilings and a living space with French doors that open to the outdoors.

The five-bedroom, eight-bath home features Nancy Corzine furnishings, a double-staircase entry, chef's kitchen, guest suites, five fireplaces, and a home theater. The master suite boasts a double-sided fireplace, balcony, and luxe bath.
